Nice long weekend... Nice long week... Got out of school for Tuesday and Wednesday because of snow, got out of class at UC Clermont on Wednesday because of V-day. Very lazy week.
Yesterday felt like sort of a waste. In the morning I was going to go to UC Clermont for an ASL Live Lab... Where a couple Deaf people come in and chat with students in the Beginning and Intermediate ASL classes. And in the evening Jessie and Elyssa were going to come over and we'd watch movies. But the Live Lab got canceled due to weather and the evening plans fell through too. But it was still a nice day.

It's going to suck to have to go back to school for real next week.

Y tengo que practicar con mis lenguas. Debo estudiar español por el examen AP, y debo estudiar esperanto para que pueda enseñarlo por mi proyecto grande del año, y mi hermanita me compró un libro del francés. Es interesante...pero...no! Debo practicar en español y esperanto y *no* el francés! Es una distracción.

De todas maneras, soy perezosa y hay mucho que hacer, pero yo preferiría hablar con mi novio y leer libros y oír música y surfear el internet. Es mucho más interesante que estudiar o trabajar.

Loca Alegría...necesitas estudiar las diferencias entre por y para más, ¿sabes? Yo te diría en que libro se puede leerlas pero mis libros de español están en casa...no los necesito este semestre. Tambien, ¿has inventado una palabra? Entiendo que quieres decir con 'surfear', pero...no existe ni en www.wordreference.com ni en el diccionario de la Real Academia de la Lengua Española (http://www.rae.es/). Ah, y no te olvidas que oir != escuchar. Tampoco te olvidas usar los ¡, ¿entiendes? De todas formas, ¡la traducción!

¡Uy! ¿Estudia uno "para" un examen?

Y...no sé...pero en mi libro de español (se llama "Somos Así"; en el primero nivel "Listos"), sí existe la palabra "surfear". Por supuesto es una palabra prestada del inglés. Mira - Busco en Google, y sí se usa la palabra.
Hm... si no sea en el diccionario de la RAE, supongo que yo debo no usarlo en el examen AP, ¿crees?

Entiendo que 'oír' y 'escuchar' no son lo mismo, pero uno puede 'ver televisión' y 'oír música', ¿no? Así lo aprendí, que 'mirar televisi÷n' y 'escuchar música' son menos comunes.

Y no me impooooortaaaan los ¡ y ¿. XP Pero si a ti te importan, los usaré.

Sí, se estudia *para* un examen. 'Por' y 'para' son difícil de aprender...

Pues, tal vez surfear sí existe. No sé yo, y el diccionario de la RAE sólo tiene las palabras castellanas, ¿sabes? Supongo que tienes razón; no debes usarlo en el examen.

Según una persona del foro de wordreference.com, las palabras 'oír' y 'escuchar' "Son bastante diferentes, la primera palabra implica poner atención mientras que la segunda simplemente es una percepción sensorial."

Te importarán los ¡ y ¿ en los exámenes, ¿verdad? Por eso te deben importar acá también, ¿eh?
